Step 1: Registration and Selection
1. WHAT IS DRACULA DIGITAL?
Dracula Digital is a competition organized by the FANZIN Cultural Association in Braşov at the 12th edition of Dracula Film Festival.
2. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS COMPETITION?
The purpose of Dracula Digital is to promote film education among young people, to give young people across the world the chance to get closer to the film industry, and to discover and cultivate new talents in cinematography.
3. FOR WHO IT IS FOR?
This competition is open to young film and photography enthusiasts aged between 16 and 29.
4. WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?
Entering this competition will bring you many benefits and opportunities, including: participation at Dracula Film Festival, the opportunity to meet and work with specialists in film industry, the screening of your film at Dracula Film Festival, participation in the workshops and masterclasses on film malking, etc, and, of course, let’s not forget about the big prize of 500 EURO for the winning team.
5. WHAT IS THE COMPETITION TIMELINE?
Dracula Digital competition will take place in Braşov from July 15th to November 3rd, 2024.
6. WHAT ARE RULES TO ENTER THE COMPETITION?
You must be between 16 and 29 years old.
You have to make a short film with your mobile phone. The film should have a running time fom 1 to 3 minutes. This film must be posted on www.youtube.com, or on www.vimeo.com, and the link must be submitted to draculadigital.ro.

7. WHEN CAN I APPLY?
Entries are open from July 15th to September 29th, 2024 on www.draculadigital.ro.
8. WHO CHOOSES THE FINALISTS?
A jury of professionals will select 5 films to enter the final step of the competition + film chosen by public vote.
9. WHEN CAN BE VOTED THE FILMS ENTERED IN THE COMPETITION?
Voting of the short films subscribed in the competition will take place from September 30th – October 10th, 2024, on www.draculadigital.ro.
10. IS THERE A REGISTRATION FEE TO ENTER THE COMPETITION?
Registration to Dracula Digital competition is FREE. The festival DOES NOT pay screening rights for the films submitted in the competitive section – Dracula Digital.
11. HOW MANY FINALISTS WILL GET TO GO TO THE NEXT STEP OF THE COMPETITION?
A jury of professionals will select 5 films to enter the final step of the competition.
Also, the film with the most votes from the audience on October 10th, 2024, 23:59, will automatically enter the final competition.
12. WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING THE SECOND STAGE OF THE COMPETITION?
The selected teams with the assistance of our specialists will produce a 3 minute short film (horror, SF, supernatural, thriller, fantastic) during Dracula Film Festival (October 30th to November 3rd, 2024). The film will be filmed with a mobile phone in Braşov, on a theme chosen by the jury.
The films will be screened at the festival on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 and the winner will be elected by the jury.
13. WHAT OTHER BENEFITS ARE THERE FOR THE PARTICIPANTS?
Your film will be screened at the festival.
Participating in workshops on film making.
The big prize of 500 EURO for the winning team.
